I’m still visiting my mom and I’m flying back home on the 18th of January. I’ve been trying out some products from Hean that they kindly sent to me to try. These just gave me radiant glowing skin. So let’s just hop right into the first beauty review of the year.
Hean Perfect Makeup Base
Hean Says: This is the Hean no 1 primer and if you use foundation is it a necessity! It protects your skin and allows for the foundation to be applied flawlessly. Lightweight and colourless smooths the skin. Oil free. Absorbs excess sebum so that the makeup stays on longer without drying out the skin. Allows the skin to breathe has a matte finish gently smooths out wrinkles. Makeup Artists say this is one of the most unappreciated makeup friends.
I Say: This primer comes in an easy to use tube with nozzle, so controlling how much product you squeeze out is easy. I really love how easily this primer applies to mousturised skin. A little really goes a long way and it feels airy light. My foundation applies super smooth over this and my pores are virtually invisible. It kept my makeup in place all day and I never felt oily during the course of the day. It’s been very humid in the George area so if the humidity didn’t melt my makeup off you can be sure this primer gets a thumbs up. RSP R350
Hean Says: A set of three unique facial colors Royal Glow (royal splendor), Silver Sheen (silver sheen), Gold Diamond (Diamond gold) These Illuminators give the skin a fresh and radiant look. They soften the facial features and are perfect for highlighting the cheekbones, the cupids bow, the arches of the nose, the neck and the neckline.
I say: I really like the guides on the packaging for beginners. The container is made of sturdy plastic and the lid clips close. All 3 strobing shades work really well with my skin tone so it all just depends on my mood on which one I want to use. The formula is buttery and easy to work with. It applies well and blends out really well. I also like that the level of pigmentation. Because I really love highlighting I sometimes have a heavy hand! RSP R385
- Royal Glow – As you can see from the swatches below this one is closest to my natural skin tone and gives me a really healthy natural glow
- Silver Sheen – This one is the lightest on my skin and gives a more visible highlight that packs a punch.
- Gold Diamond – Last but not least if I am looking for something less natural but also subtle this is the perfect shade to use
Lumi Sparkling Dust
Hean Says: The light pollen with gold particles gives the skin a radiant effect of “a thousand diamonds”. Ideal for use on the eyelids, selected facial parts and to emphasize the neckline. Extremely easy to use and combine with other products.
I Say: This is by far my favourite product that I was sent. The packaging reminds me of an old time movie makeup product. When you open the container you are greeted with an easy to pull off seal covering a sieve like secondary lid. You can decant product by shaking the container very lightly. I prefer giving it a soft shake while the lid is still on. This gorgeous intense glow is everything and because it’s a powder you can easily dust it all over your collar bone and even arms to give your skin that healthy golden summer glow. This was the first time that I’ve tried a powder highlighter so I can’t really compare it against another products. I can however say it’s much easier to work with than I initially taught but a very light hand is key. I find it easy to blend with a brush or fingers. A brush gives a more subtle finish where as the finger blend is super intense
Product + Swatch
Used together I get a lovely summer glow all over my decolletage. Hean products can be purchased from the Glamore Cosmetics online store. Some other products on my wishlist include the multi action BB cream, the lip sugar scrub elixir and the giant shock mascara. Which products from Hean would you love to give a go?
