{Review} New Garnier Pure Active Advanced 3 in 1 + Multimasking

Happy Tuesday my lovelies. It’s been a red hot minute since I last reviewed a beauty product, shame on me! But let’s move on and let me tell you all about the new Pure Active 3 in 1 mask, scrub and wash from Garnier. They sent me an old favourite and a newbie to try. But before we get to the new, let’s find out about the “old”

Pure Active 3 in 1 Clay Mask, Scrub and Wash for Oily Skin

I’ve tried and tested this Pure Active product before and I must say that I liked it a lot. The only problem I had with it is that I easily over exfoliate and then I end up with more oil so I prefer using this one only as the once a week scrub and mask. It mattifies my skin and leaves my skin looking fresh.

    How to Use

    1. Wash: Use everyday on wet skin to help intensely cleanse and purify the skin, removes excess sebum and protect against the appearance of spots. Rinse thoroughly with water.
    2. Scrub: When needed massage 3 in 1 into forehead, chin and nose to help remove dead skin cells and unclog pores.
    3. Mask: 1 to 2 times a week to help even skin tone and mattify the skin. Apply to dry skin and leave on for 3 minutes.

After each application rinse thoroughly with water. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact, rinse them immediately. In case of irritation or dryness, space out usage. For best results use with Pure Active Micellar and Pure Active Matte Control.

Pure Active Intensive 3 in 1 Charcoal Blackhead Mask with Scrub

With charcoal now being all the rage I was pretty excited to give this one a go. I’ve tried a different brand of charcoal scrub but it seemed to worsen my eczema. Therefor I used this one with caution, avoiding the patches where my eczema usually flares up. I am glad to report that I haven’t had any flare ups. I find this combo works really well to get rid of my blackheads and I notice a difference immediately after use.

Multi Masking with Garnier Pure Active

The perfect solution with my concerns with both 3 in 1 is to multi mask using the Pure Active Clay 3 in 1 and the Pure Active Intensive Charcoal 3 in 1. This way I can target my areas of concern in one go with the perfect product for each.

I apply the charcoal mask on my chin, nose and a bit outwards on my cheeks while I apply the mud mask on the rest of my face. My nose, chin and inner cheeks has large pores and are prone to blackheads. My forehead tends to be a bit on the oily side.  Keep an eye out on my instagram account for a multi masking selfie!

Thanks lovely! This was my first time trying it and it actually makes sense

I am not the biggest fan of the original 3in1. It has made my skin super oily and it is too gritty for my preference. I would however like to try the charcoal one. Loved your review.

When I used it as a wash I got the same result, so I just use it as a mask + light scrub once a week and I get better results

Hi Lizna, great post. I do not have a oily skin, but a rather dry skin. I am very tempted to trying the 3 in 1 Charcoal Blackhead Mask for my Problem areas (black heads) . I also have a eczema problem so will definitely keep it in consideration that it could worsen it and just use it carefully.

mine is mostly between, around and in my eyebrows so I just try and avoid those areas. Let me know what you think about the charcoal 3 in 1 once you’ve tried it 🙂
