Elizabeth Arden – Gorgeous Eyes

My gorgeous husband is such an angel and spoiled me with the 2014 Elizabeth Arden blockbuster in December, but until recently I’ve been so stingy to use anything I got, they are my precious! But I thought to myself that I’m being really silly and gorgeous things should be out there getting flaunted. So I finally started using all the gorgeousness from the blockbuster and first to grace us with their presence on my blog is the compacts and eyeliner.

Elizabeth Arden Work Deluxe Compact:

This compact contains 8 beautiful eye shadow shades, 1 blush and 1 shimmer powder.

Eyeshadow shades in order from left to right
Dusty Grey, Heathered-Plum, Sunset, Rosey Pink
Glisten, Smokey Green, Romance, Tempting Taupe-Contour
Blush in Rose and Shimmer Powder in Bronze Shimmer

Elizabeth Arden Play Deluxe Compact

This compact contains 8 beautiful eye shadow shades, 1 blush and 1 shimmer powder.

Eyeshadow shades in order from left to right
Satin Tan, Sterling, Mediterranean, Smolder
Innocence, Golden Dusk, Sunrise, Heathered Plum-Contour
Blush in Romantic Sunburst and Shimmer Powder in Nude Shimmer

These eyeshadow shades are all lovely pigmented, some mat and some shimmer, all the shades of each palette works really well together, I’ve created a look using both palettes as well. The blush shades provide a lovely shimmering hint of colour, while the one shimmer shade can use to define and the other to highlight, so together these 2 palettes can be used to create endless looks and are the prefect items to use while traveling. The shades stay on for hours and I’ve used them a couple of times now and not once did I notice creasing.

The two eyeliners from the palette is just as amazing, I love a soft eyeliner that is creamy and just glides on, these stay put for hours as well. My favourite of the two is the shade “Gun Metal” This shade is off black and isn’t so harsh for daytime makeup. The “Smokey Black” shade is a deep black and is perfect for night time wear.

I would definitely be investing in some more Elizabeth Arden goodies in the future.

  1. Ohhh that looks gorgeous! Yes you should definitely be using it. Make up gets old after a while and you want to take advantage of the luxury of new make up. NOTHING is more exciting than that first dip into the new shade. hehe <3

    1. I was keeping it sealed shut for “special” occasions but I should make every day a special occasion! You just feel gorgeous when you wear gorgeous makeup. The mascara is still unopened but I think it’s time for a mascara cleanup so I can open some new ones, have to toss the ones open longer than 3 months 🙂

      1. You do…and every day is a special occasion 🙂 this is what I tell myself when I spend way more than I should on make-up hehe

    1. haha it’s like wearing pretty underwear, only you know about it but you feel great all day, if you use fancy makeup you know it and it makes you feel amazing

    1. Thank you Rani 🙂 They are really pretty, I’m a sucker for the shimmer shades!

  2. I love the first palette. I’m more of a purple, pale pink, nude kind of girl. Glad you finally opened the palettes up to get some use 🙂 I do that a lot too.
