I review: Omega Nails Nail Lacquer and Glitter Pot

I was lucky enough to win some products from Omega Nails South Africa with the facebook giveaway so I decided to review them for you! I received a couple of things but today’s review is about the French Collection Nail Lacquer and Glitter Pots.

Omega Labs is an American company that produces salon quality nail lacquers, nail glitter and acrylic powders as well as some other goodies like cuticle oil. The lacquer is available in a wide array of in demand fashion colors and free of DBP, toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde Resin and camphor.

I am not an expert nail artist nor is applying nail polish my strong point so I am always looking for great nail polishes that are easy and fast to apply.  For some reason I have a lot of natural oils in my nails, so my manicures don’t usually last past 3 days and even professional gel and acrylic applications fall off before a week has gone past.

I received a lacquer from the french collection called Peek a Boo, it’s a very soft pink. The lacquer is very sheer and I applied 3 coats to get it opaque, I’m sure if you are better at painting your nails than I am
you can get away with only 2 coats. The result is a really pretty light pink that makes you think of wedding day nails. The drying time isn’t that long, much shorter than with some other nail polish brands. I keep checking for slightest sign of the polish chipping or budging on the tips of my nails and so far so good! I’m super impressed so far it’s lasted pat the time my at home manicures last. If the polish is lasting on my nails it should last on anyone’s.

The glitter pots are really nice, I received one in Gold Hologram, I think this is my favourite item so far. They are pretty large making it really easy for you to dip your nail in, you can use them with your regular nail polish and dip while your polish is still wet or if you are using an acrylic application you can mix them with the powder for a really pretty effect. I have not tried the acrylic yet but as soon as I do you will be the first to know! So far the glitter has stayed on and pretty much longer than another dipping glitter pot I’ve tried

Please show Omega South Africa some love by following them on Facebook and Twitter, a little birdie told me that there will be a giveaway when the facebook page hits 200 likes and when there are 100 twitter followers!
If you are interested in purchasing any of these gorgeous lacquers and glitters, believe me, they are very reasonably priced for salon quality products, don’t be shy send them an inbox on facebook or send the lovely Gael an email.
